New Johnsonville, Tenn.–Over 450 people attended the Bald Eagle/ Waterfowl Event Saturday at the Duck River Bottoms part of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge. Ranger Joan Howe said, “Our thanks to the Friends of Tennessee NWR for sponsoring cookies and hot apple cider. To the Camden National Guard that let us use their tent, and to the Humphreys county school system that let us use their buses and to the three excellent bus drivers! And to the many volunteers that made the day happen including wildlife and outdoor students from Murray State University and UT Martin!” (Refuge photo).
