Obion County, Tenn.–The intensive search for a missing Troy man has now been suspended after days of exhaustive efforts by numerous law enforcement agencies and K-9s.

Charles Baldridge, age 62, was last seen on January 8th at approximately 3 p.m. in Troy, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. His place of employment is the Obion County Highway Department.

Baldridge’s truck was discovered crashed in a ditch last weekend on Walker Tanner Rd. and Hwy. 51 when high water pushed it up in the creek and made it visible. Searchers on Wednesday discovered Baldridge’s wallet some 100 yards in the waterway.

Crews from the TBI, Tennessee Highway Department, Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, and Jackson Madison County Regional Health Department, joined officers from the Obion County Sheriff’s Office, Union City Police, along with his co-workers at the Highway Department in the massive search, which has involved boats, ATVs, aircraft, drones and K9s.

K9s from the Cumberland Search and Recovery were among those involved in the search and Handler Robin Petty More said, “These dogs never cease to amaze me. They have worked some really difficult terrain clearing areas this week that were impossible for searchers to get into. So proud to be their handler.”
