Paris, Tenn.–Saturday was a very big day at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction, with two auctions producing $11,674 and bringing the year-to-date total to $186,767.
Henry County Medical Center donated a whopping 35 slates of items that included numerous gift baskets and plenty of homemade dinners, snacks, canned goods and craft items.
There were two auctioneers, Wendy Barnhart and Noel Hatman, and the Professional and Business Women manned the phones.
Join them at the Paris Convention Center on Monday February 5, starting at 11 AM, for lunch before the auction. First Christian Church will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs. $5 for your choice of hamburger or hot dog with chips.
Donating items Monday will be First Christian Church, Habitat for Humanity and the Literacy Council. Tuesday’s items will be donated by the Veterans’ organizations, VFW Post, Amvets Post, Darkhorse Lodge, American Legion and the Paris Elks. Wednesday’s items will be donated by Walmart, Covenant Ranch, New Wave Buddy Ball, Plus, and Tennessee Valley Board of Realtors.

Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
