Helping Hand Radio Auction Starts New Month With $165,592

Paris, Tenn.–There may have been fewer items donated today, but $3,748 was raised, making the grand total to start the new month at $165,592 for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction.

As Auctioneer Noel Hatman said, “We had fewer items, but they were quality items and the bids were real good.”

Donating today was the Buchanan community, Lakewood Beta Club, and HCHS Soccer.

Friday’s items will be donated by Chapel Hill/Guthrie Rd. community, Holy Cross Catholic Church and TARP Center for Independent Living. Saturday is Henry County Medical Center’s day.

Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
