Helping Hand Radio Auction Now At $161,844

Paris, Tenn.–With the first month over, the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction has raised a grand total of $161,844.

Today was a busy one, with the Mansfield community, Christ Luthern Church, Johnson Chapel and the Carl Perkins Center coming together with 17 slates of donated items and raising $4,750. Auctioneer was Amy Veazey and the Paris Lions Club manned the phones.

Tomorrow’s items will be donated by the Buchanan community, Lakewood Beta Club, and HCHS Soccer.

Friday’s items will be donated by Chapel Hill/Guthrie Rd. community, Holy Cross Catholic Church and TARP Center for Independent Living. Saturday is Henry County Medical Center’s day.

Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
