
Paris, Tenn.–Two Paris women are in custody at the Henry County Jail on Fentanyl-related charges after a search warrant was executed over the weekend.
Officers with the Paris Police Department executed a search warrant at a Paris apartment Saturday afternoon. Inside the apartment there were two adult females and two minors. The two adult females were Genning Burnette, age 49, of Paris, and Samantha McClain, age 24, also of Paris.
The search yielded baggies of Fentanyl in different grades and forms such as pills and powders. Other narcotics and a loaded handgun were also found during the search.
Both adults were charged with Possession of a Schedule II narcotic with intent to manufacture, deliver, or sell, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and aggravated child abuse and neglect. Burnette was additionally charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and possession of a schedule V narcotic (Gabapentin).
The minors were released to guardians and a referral was made to the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services for follow up investigation.
