Dyer County, Tenn.–After multiple warnings from TDOT for motorists to slow down because its workers have been patching potholes in west and middle Tennessee, a vehicle smashed into a work zone in Dyer County Saturday.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, their crews were “patching potholes in Dyer County near the I-155 and US412 interchange when a vehicle struck our attenuator in the work zone.” No report was available on injuries sustained by the driver or employees in the work zone.
TDOT officials said, “We need you to PAY ATTENTION! This happened TODAY while @myTDOT crews were patching potholes. It’s a dangerous job working on the highway”
TDOT is again reminding drivers the importance of paying attention and abiding by the Move Over law when work crews are on the highways.
