Weakley County, Tenn.–William McNeal, age 32, of Greenfield, has been charged with first degree murder after he reportedly confessed to the crime. McNeal is formerly of Huntingdon.
McNeal had initially been named as a person of interest and was taken in custody. After interrogation, he was charged with the murder of Krista Davis, who was reportedly his girlfriend.
On Saturday, January 20, the Greenfield Police Department and Weakley County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the city limits regarding a deceased female located inside a residence, according to the initial press release.
Ms. Davis, was found lying on the kitchen floor with severe trauma wounds to her face and chest.
McNeal has been charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. He is being held at the Weakley County Detention Center.
