
Mr. Gary Dacus, Jr., 64, of Big Rock, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
He was born Monday, March 16, 1959, the beloved son of Gary Dacus, Sr. and Rhoda Buckingham Rippy. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Dacus, Sr. and step-father, James Rippy.
Gary loved the Lord and was a member of Wyatts Chapel Church.
He worked at Daymar College in Clarksville, Tennessee, for several years.
He was also a car salesman for many years.
Gary was an avid sports fan following his favorite teams: St. Louis Cardinals and Austin Peay Governors.
Gary had a special love for children’s sports and worked with the Junior Pro Teams.
Gary leaves behind the family that he loved dearly, his loving and devoted wife he married Tuesday, March 1, 1983: Sherry Dacus; mother: Rhoda Buckingham Rippy; sons: Jacob Dacus, Granite City, Illinois, Craig Floyd, Gary Dacus, III, Justin Dacus, and Tyler Dacus, all of Dover, Tennessee; daughter: Amanda Dacus, of Florida; brothers: Alan Dacus, of Dover, Tennessee, Jimmy Rippy, of Clarksville, Tennessee, Drue Shepherd, of Indian Mound, Tennessee; sister: Melinda Rozet, of Dover, Tennessee, and 17 precious grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 28, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Wyatt Chapel Church.
Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Bro William Gray and Bro. Gary Dacus officiating.
