Paris, Tenn.–The Cottage Grove and Center communities came through in a big way today, raising $20,415, which put the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction over the $100,000 mark, with $116,854 raised so far.

The afternoon began with $13,570 in donations even before the auction started. The donations came from several people in the communities in memory of Dan Paschall, Joy Call and Jack and Catherine Moseley. Auctioneer today was David Jackson and the Kiwanis Club manned the phones.

Wednesday is bank day, with Commercial Bank, Carroll Bank & Trust, Foundation Bank, Regions Bank, and First Bank donating items.

Thursday items will be donated by the Harrelson Beta Club, the Puryear community, and Northwest Nutrition.

You can listen and bid to both on our station WHNY 104.7 FM and 1000 AM. You can see the slates on the Henry County Helping Hand website. Or you can watch in person at the Paris Convention Center.

The auction phone is 731 644 1695.
Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
