Paris, Tenn.–With high-dollar donations coming in even before the auction started this morning, the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction raised a whopping $26,560 today, bringing the grand total to $80,560.
The auction was able to get through 22 of the 30 slates donated today. Items will be auctioned as soon as they can and your organization will definitely be acknowledged for how much the item sold for.
Organizers said of today, “We are overwhelmed with the generosity of Henry Countians! Thank you ALL for your continued support, especially after this extreme weather week.”
The very busy auctioneers today were Darrin Thompson and Andy Collins, with Rotary members manning the phones. Donated items today were from the Palestine and Central Point communities, Bridge of Hope Church, Tennessee Valley High Bass Club, Security Bank and White and Associates Wimberley Agency.
Auction starts Saturday at 12 Noon. And we will have the Radio Night Auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. You can listen and bid to both on our station WHNY 104.7 FM and 1000 AM. You can see the slates on the Henry County Helping Hand website.
Saturday day-time auctioneers will be Jamie Orr & Amy Veazey, and our evening auctioneer will be Wendy Barnhart.
