
Murray, Ky.–Calloway County Emergency Management reports a milk tanker crash and spill is blocking a section of KY 2075/North 4th Street in Murray.
The crash is along KY 2075/North 4th Street at the 0.16 mile point. This blockage is immediatly north of U.S. 641-Business/Chestnut Street in the Andrus Drive area.
Early reports indicate a loaded milk tanker was making the turn from Chestnut to head north on KY 2075/North 4th Street and lost control on the icy hill. Several thousand gallons of milk is reported spilled at the site, requiring an environmental cleanup team.
The cleanup crew is not expected to arrive for several more hours, so it is possible the duration may have to be extended.
Estimated duration is 4 hours or approximately 8 a.m., CST.
Motorists may detour via U.S. 641-Business/East Chestnut Street and U.S. 641 North/North 12th Street.
