Paris, Tenn.–With the $9, 813 raised today, the grand total for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction is now at $29,829.
Today was a great day for the Helping Hand auction, with a good crowd on hand to bid in person (and on the phone).
Donating items today was the Paris Rotary Club, Osage/Airport community, Party Bounce and Jump and the P-I.
With the Rotary Club on hand, so was a person in a giant pig suit carrying a giant replica of a ticket to the upcoming annual Paris Rotary Ham Breakfast, set for March 9. Auctioneer today was Darrin Thompson, with Rotarians manning the phones.
On Saturday, the Plesant Hill community will be donating items and Ray Compton will be the auctioneer. Saturday day-time auctions start at noon.
If there is a change in the schedule due to weather, it will be announced on our website and Facebook pages and the Helping Hand Facebook page.
Helping Hand runs from January 8 through February 28 and raises thousands of dollars each year for over 90 non-profit and public service organizations. Last year was a banner year, with a record-setting $519,630 raised.
