Community Warming Shelter To Open In Paris

Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Emergency Management  will be coordinating the opening of a community warming shelter for the extreme weather expected this weekend into next week.
Inman Middle School Tornado Shelter will open Friday evening at 5:30PM.  The shelter is located at 400 Harrison St, Paris.  The shelter will be open throughout the weekend through Wednesday depending on the weather expected next week . Dangerous extreme cold temperatures and winter weather are expected Sunday -Tuesday night and possibly through Wednesday.
Paris Police Dept and Henry County Sheriffs Dept will be monitoring the shelter on a routine basis to ensure safety.
Persons needing to take shelter from the extreme weather will be offered a cot and blankets to keep warm. Unfortunately, animals will not be allowed.   First United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church , and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will provide meals during the opening.
