Ernest D. Cronin, 74, of Buchanan, Tennessee, died at his residence Friday, January 5, 2024.
Mr. Cronin was born Thursday, June 23, 1949, in Tell City, Indiana, to the late Selmer M. Cronin and the late Opal Virginia Sanders Cronin.
Mr. Cronin enjoyed working with his hands and was known to be an excellent wood worker, able to build most anything.
Pugsey and Toby were his loyal companions (dogs) and loved dearly for many years.
He married Sadie “Faye” Decker Cronin Thursday, July 4, 1968, and she preceded him in death Sunday, August 2, 2015.
Besides his parents and beloved wife, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Eugene Cronin.
He is survived by his daughter: Kathy (John) Cronin of Tell City, Indiana; sons: Ernest (Kristen) Cronin, Jr., of Yorkville, Illinois, and Shaun (Jordan) Cronin, of Paris, Tennessee; his grandchildren: Kimberly, Heather, Hunter, Claire, Garrett, Elizabeth, Jax, and Ethan Cronin; and his great-grandchildren: Trenton, Greyson, and Waverli Cronin, Connor and Mason Winters, and Tia Murphy.
His body is to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
