Bill Carpenter, 89, of Springville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his residence.
Bill was born Sunday, May 6, 1934, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, to the late Vernon J. Carpenter and the late Mayme Moffett Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter was a United States Army veteran serving in Korea.
He formerly worked for G.E. and later worked and retired from Emerson Electric.
He liked fishing and being with his family and friends.
Saturday, May 19, 1990, he married Frieda Bugg Carpenter and she survives in Springville, Tennessee.
In addition to his wife, Bill is also survived by a daughter: Carol (Chris) Caldwell, of Avon, Indiana; son: Scott (Janice) Bugg, of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; brother: Vernon Ray (Lois Ann) Carpenter, of Frankfort, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Brandy Caldwell, of Avon, Indiana and Zachary (Justice) Bugg, of Richmond, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren: Micayla Ayers, Lahni Ayers, and Vanessa Bugg; niece: Maria (Richard) Noble, of Frankfort, Kentucky; nephew: Mark (Emily) Carpenter, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and great-nephew: Leo Ray Carpenter, of Ft. Worth, Texas.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
