Mr. Edward Boyd Crain, 84, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Wednesday, September 20, 1939, in Stewart County, Tennessee, son of the late Edward Warden Crain and Ruby Knott Crain.
Mr. Crain served his country in the United States Navy.
He was a hard worker, retired from TVA.
He was an avid outdoorsman.
He enjoyed running his beagle’s rabbit and fox hunting.
He also spent time with his buddies fishing.
He attended the New Haven Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents: he was preceded in death by his son: Junior Crain; and twin brother: Llyod Crain.
He is survived by his children: Bobby Crain (Ann), of Dover, Tennessee, Lisa Mathis (James), of Dover, Tennessee, Debbie Givens (Eddie), of Dover, Tennessee, Bridgette Crain (Scott Noce), of New Concord, Kentucky, Cathy Norfleet (Matt), of Panama City, Florida, and Sandy Beyor (Greg), of North Carolina; brothers: Billy Wayne Crain (Virginia), of Dover, Tennessee; sisters: Judy Crupper, of Dover, Tennessee, Janey Riggins, of Dover, Tennessee, and Vickie Lee (Charles), of Dover, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Anglin Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Helfin Cemetery, with his grandson: Mitchell Givens to officiate.
Pallbearers will be: Steven Massey, Mathew Massey, Chris Crain, Cody Crain, and Steven Norfleet.
