Teddy Hill

Teddy Hill, 82, of Paris, died Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, July 12, 1941, in Cottage Grove, he was the son the late James William Hill and the late Rosa Jane Brown Hill. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Kathryn Browning, Opal Brock, Garnett McFarland, and Flossie McKee; and two brothers: A. J. Hill and Nathan Hill.

Teddy was a member of Jesus Saves Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Pastor for 18 years before retiring.

He enjoyed mowing, listening to music, singing, and witnessing to others.

In his younger years, he enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Teddy very much loved his family and church family.

Teddy married Brenda Colley Hill, of Paris, Friday, December 24, 1982, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five children: Debbie (Don) Green, of Puryear, Jeanette (Barry) Triplett, of Puryear, Jeff (Jill) Hill, of Puryear, Joey (Traci) Collins, of Puryear, and Darrell (Ann) Collins, of Springville; a sister: Carnell Browning, of Paris; 18 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tennessee, 38242, will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

His funeral service will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Joey Collins officiating.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be: Shawn Collins, Blake Triplett, Lane Townsend, Jeremiah Townsend, Caleb Townsend, Erick Cendejas, and Scott Collins.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
