Mrs. Brenda Dotson, 79, of Samburg, passed away at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2023, at her home.
Brenda was born Thursday, December 2, 1943, in Samburg, daughter of the late Earnest and Lottie (Lee) Gamble. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Paul Gamble; and two sisters: Flora Mae Vancleave and Ima Jean Moore.
She worked for the former Superior Fireplace in Union City.
She married Ronnie Dotson, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Burrows (Randy), of Ravenswood, West Virginia, and Kay Nelson, of Troy; three sons: Steve Walls, of Samburg, Allen Dotson, of Obion, and Ronnie Dotson, of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren: Kassy Mayfield, of Troy, Christa Conn, of Obion and Chay Westmoreland, of Ravenswood, West Virginia; six great- grandchildren: Attily Conn, Attison Watkins, Brylee Watkins, Kinsley Watkins, Kaydence Mayfield, and Lilyana Mayfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home.
Pastor Robin Rotgers will officiate.
Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
