Paris, Tenn.–The Security Bank & Trust branch bank on East Wood St. is being demolished and will make way for a new and bigger facility.
A lightning strike hit the roof at the Security Bank & Trust branch in the Lakeway Shopping Center in Paris July 18, causing a fire. The branch was a total loss from the fire, according to Security Bank & Trust Chief Operating Officer Andy Collins. “You couldn’t really tell it from the outside, but inside it was a total loss”, Collins said, and has been closed since that time.
The new facility will be 4,000 square feet in size. “We hope to get started on it before long and have it finished before the first or second quarter of 2024.”
