Paris, Tenn.–The Downtown Paris Association has announced it will kick off the holiday season during the Downtown Christmas Open House with a tribute to “The King of Rock ‘n ’Roll,” Elvis Aaron Presley, by Paris’ own Riley Jenkins!
Riley Jenkins is an award-wining Elvis Tribute Artist, who’s love for music and for Elvis Presley came at an early age of three years old when he saw “The King” for the first time on television. At just 21 years of age, Riley is taking the tribute artist industry by storm with his tribute to the Early Years of “The Greatest Entertainer of All Time.”
Riley’s tribute to Elvis takes you back in time to 1956 when a shy, humble boy from Tupelo, Mississippi changed the face of American music and pop culture. This January he starred in the hit tour “The Elvis Tribute Artist Birthday Tour Spectacular” to sell out crowds all across the country, and he currently is starring as Elvis in the Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical “Million Dollar Quartet,” in Branson, Missouri.
DPA Interim Director Jennifer Morris said, “With his charming looks, uncanny voice, charismatic moves, and West Tennessee roots, Riley embodies the raw magnitude that Elvis had when he exploded onto the scene back in the 1950’s, it’s truly as if the spirit of Elvis Presley lives inside of him. As he continues to climb the mountain of success higher and higher, his growing legion of adoring fans have given him the nickname, ‘The Tennessee Dynamite.'”
The holiday season kickoff show will be November 4th Downtown at the Court Square from 6 to 8 pm and free to the public. Backing Riley up that evening will be Derrick Brasfield on guitar, Greg Flowers on bass, Boogie Siler on drums and Lytle Smith on keys.
Riley said “Elvis has changed my life in so many ways. To be able to sing his music onstage for his fans, the greatest fans in the world, is a dream come true every single day.”
