Paris, Tenn.–Work continues on a much-needed paving project on a state highway that comes through downtown Paris. The project will continue at least through the end of October.
The TDOT project involves paving of State Route 54 and according to city of Paris officials, resurfacing will occur from the Hwy. 218 bypass to near Ruff St., including bridge expansion, joint repair and milling and paving along Hwy. 54 and Market St.
There have been on and off lane closures throughout the project and City Manager Kim Foster asked that everyone use caution while traveling in the area. “Thanks for your patience as the condition of our streets gets repaired,” she said.
