Union City, Tenn.–Union City’s top two runners took their familiar places on the medal stand Tuesday in preparation for next week’s regional meet.
Bailey Wagoner and Briley McKinney – season-long standouts for the Lady Tornadoes – both finished in the Top 20 at Westview. Wagoner, who posted a time of 22:16, came in 10th among 149 participants, while McKinney (23:14) finished 19th.
Rori Howell (31:09) placed 91st.
Woodrow McKinnis and Rushdon Howell continued to show steady improvement, coming in 21st and 27th, respectively, in a large field of 216 boys.
McKinnis broke the 18-minute mark at 17:59, while Howell was timed at 18:40.
Cory Gentry (21:18) was 83rd.
Colton Gary (25:01) and Tabor Hall (25:28) also competed for the Tornado boys.
There were 31 teams in the field.
The same Martin course will host next Tuesday’s regional.
