Gilbert Love Walker, Jr., 73, of Paris, Tennessee, died Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at TriStar Skyline Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Gilbert was born Wednesday, January 11, 1950, to the late Gilbert Walker, Sr., and the late Mary Wiles Walker.
He worked as a mechanic for Denton Trucking in Paris.
Gilbert loved woodworking and being a mechanic.
He was a proud member of & was still active in the Cherokee Tribe.
He was married Friday, March 22, 2013, to Amy Oakley Walker, who survives, of Paris, Tennessee.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by three children: Charity (Jayson) Pierce, of Paris, Tennessee, Timothy James (Dana Rae) Walker, of Paris, Tennessee, and David Timothy Walker, of Paris, Tennessee; two sisters: Evelyn Smith, of Paris, Tennessee, and Dorothy (Larry) Conell, of Alamo, Nevada; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his best buddies: Wesley Hill and Frank Beecham.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
