Henry, Tenn.–A Michigan man was arrested climbing out of a window and arrested on several charges, incuding Criminal Attempt to Commit Rape of a Child. He is being held on $500,000 bond in the Henry County Jail.
Sheriff Josh Frey said deputies responded to the report of a suspicious person and vehicle in the Henry area about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 14. (The location is not being given due
to a minor victim being involved).
Upon arrival in the area, an unoccupied white Lincoln with Michigan registration was located on the side of the road in a ditch. Deputies began checking area residences due to this being an out of place vehicle.
Frey said during the check, deputies saw a subject crawl out of the window of a home. The subject, Shaker Alagrai, age 21, was taken into custody and the Criminal Investigation Division was notified.
An investigation found that Alagrai, of Coldwater Michigan, and a female, who is under the age of 13, who lived
in the home had been communicating through social media.
Alagrai travelled to Henry County to meet with the child and entered the home without the parent’s consent.
Alagrai was charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Rape of a Child, Aggravated Sexual Battery and Aggravated
Burglary. He is being held under a $500,000.00 bond pending arraignment in Henry County General Sessions Court on
Tuesday, October 17.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance of the Department of Children Services and the Henry County Office
of the Carl Perkins Child Advocacy Center.
Additional charges are expected, Frey said.
