PADUCAH, Ky. (October 12, 2023) – Motorists traveling through the City of Murray should be aware of highway and street closures for the Murray State University Homecoming Parade Saturday, October 14, 2023.
KY 94/Main Street will be closed in downtown Murray between North 16th Street and KY 2594/Industrial Road, with side streets along the route blocked to allow movement of the parade.
These closures will be in place from approximately 8 a.m., CDT, until about 12 noon, Saturday. North-South traffic on U.S. 641/North 12th Street will be allowed to continue until just before the parade starts at 10 a.m.
Murray City Police, Calloway County Deputies, and Murray State Security Office will have officers assisting with traffic control along the route.
While passenger vehicles may detour around this closure via side streets to the west of the MSU campus, there are few detour opportunities for commercial trucks.
