Agents: Drugs Were Being Sold Near School Property; One Arrested

Agents from the 29th Judicial District out of Tiptonville began investigating a subject and residence in Tiptonville (Lake County) this past September.

After agents developed probable cause, a search warrant issued and was served yesterday for a residence on Robertson Street. Agents seized approximately 1/2 ounce of meth, five grams of powdered fentanyl, scales, 13 Xanax, and paraphernalia. These narcotics were being sold approximately 20 feet from lake county schools property.

One male subject has been arrested. During the investigation, investigators determined that the subject has sold approximately 22 pounds of methamphetamine over the course of a year from this residence.

Agents were assisted by Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Tiptonville PD. The suspect is being charged with numerous narcotic offenses including the sale of narcotics within 500’ feet of a school. The office of District Attorney General, 29th Judicial District, Danny Goodman, Jr. Is prosecuting this case.
