Dresden, Tenn.–A Paris woman was airlifted with serious injuries and a Dresden man is in jail after she was reportedly assaulted over a period of days.
The 22-year-old woman is being treated for serious injuries included severe lacerations on her hand from a machete attack.
Weakley County Sheriff Terry McDade said deputies discovered the assault when they were serving a failure to appear warrant and found the victim inside. Arrested was Trevor Bradberry, age 23.
The victim told deputies that Bradberry had assaulted her over the course of several days with his fists, a baseball bat and the machete, with which he chopped her hand.
Bradberry is charged with Especially Aggravated Assault,as well as meth and fentanyl charges, and McDade said other charges are likely to be filed. He is being held in the Weakley Co. Jail.
