MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Several Bethel athletic squads, Senior Athletic Director Brad Chappell and Rowdy the Mascot participated Wednesday in the Walk to School Day at McKenzie Elementary School.
Players from the men’s basketball team, men’s soccer squad and football team represented Bethel. Several cheer team members along with Rowdy helped as well.
Men’s Basketball Coach Jeff Britt said, “It was a great event and turnout. Hopefully, the kids and the staff at the Elementary School enjoyed the morning. I know we were all excited about being there and encouraging the kids. Mrs. Coutney Kee was there to greet us and make us feel welcome.”
The event and participation were a part of Bethel’s commitment to the NAIA Champions of Character Initiative.
