Carroll County Inclusion Park Breaks Ground

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Carroll County Inclusion Park is another step closer to reality after the groundbreaking Wednesday at the site of the new park in Huntingdon. Officials said, “Thank you to everyone who has supported this project. Each of you is a part of bringing a playground where everyone can play side-by-side together to Carroll County.”
Plans include inclusive playground equipment and ADA-compliant bathrooms including, automatic adjustable sinks and an adult changing table. Soft surfacing and playground equipment installation will begin in the spring with a completion date goal of July (weather dependent). The tentative ribbon cutting will be on August 10th.
Officials of the non-profit organiation which is raising funds for the park said special thank you’s to: Carroll County Mayor- Joseph Butler; Huntingdon City Mayor- Nina Smothers; McKenzie Mayor-Ryan Griffin; Clarksburg Mayor-Howell Todd; Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Director-Brad Hurley; Director of Schools- Dr. Myles Hebrard
Carroll County Commissioners- John Austin, Barry Mac Murphey, Daniel Willman, Cyril Ostiguy; and Granges for providing the shovels for the ceremony.
