Paris, Tenn.–Robin Walker and Chloe Roth were among the busiest of many busy people Saturday as thousands gathered in downtown Paris for the annual Arts ‘Round The Square. Walker, left, is Paris-Henry County Arts Council Board President and Roth is Arts Council Director. With over 100 vendors, it was the largest number of vendors ever for the event, plus a dozen food trucks and live music all day from the Ray Lewis Band, Erv Dutton & Friends, the James Greer Band and Mike Holden. With the weather cooperating, the event was a definite success. Walker said, “We spoke to many artists throughout the day who were making great sales. We had a booth from Charlotte, North Carolina set up for the first time this year, and they said that by noon they had sold more at ARTS than they had all day at a similar event in Charolette recently. That’s high praise, as Paris is nowhere near the size of their hometown. We’re very proud of the hard work our Board and amazing volunteers put in to make this a successful event.” This was Roth’s last big event with the Arts Council, as she has accepted another position.
