Jimmy Dan “Jim” Hutson

Jimmy Dan “Jim” Hutson, 73, of Gleason, Tennessee, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

Jim was born Tuesday, January 17, 1950, in Buchanan, Tennessee, to the late Rudy Cleveland Hutson and the late Mabel Lassiter Hutson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Carol Fayette; and two brothers, Rex Hutson and Don Hutson.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jim was a former mold tech at Plumley Marugo where he was a plant manager in McKenzie, Tennessee.

He most recently worked as a self-employed pilot car/oversize load escort.

He enjoyed fishing.

He was married Friday, February 11, 2011, to his wife: Deborah Brown Hutson, who survives, of Gleason, Tennessee.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by five sons: Jamie Hutson, of St. Louis, Missouri, Joey (Christina) Hutson, of Puryear, Tennessee, Tommy (Crystal) Hutson, of Buchanan, Tennessee, Chip (Lisa) Hutson, of Buchanan, Tennessee, and Josh (Jessica Evans) Hutson, of Murray, Kentucky; three step-daughters: two sisters: Bettye Hinson, of Dover, Tennessee, and Sherry (Jamie) Miller, of Jackson, Tennessee; two brothers: Bill (Joan) Hutson, of Buchanan, Tennessee, Mike (Pam) Hutson, of Cottage Grove, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.

The body is to be cremated.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Sulphur Well Church of Christ, 1760 Oak Grove Road S, Springville, Tennessee, 38256.
