Mayfield, Ky.–Today while in a juvenile court hearing, two Graves County Deputy Sheriff court security officers were bit by a juvenile offender and had to receive medical treatment.
Sheriff Jon Hayden said the deputies intervened in a disturbance involving a juvenile while in court before District Court Judge Scott Robbins.
During the physical altercation, the juvenile bit the two deputies causing one of them to receive medical treatment at Jackson Purchase Medical Center ER.
The juvenile was already being held in a detention facility and had previous felony assault charges pending, related to previously assaulting jail staff. The juvenile today additionally was charged with assault on two officers and disorderly conduct.
