Paris, Tenn.–This year’s Arts ‘Round The Square this Saturday will “by FAR by the largest we’ve ever had”, with 104 booths signed up for the event, surpassing last year’s count of 76, according to Arts Council President Robin Walker. There will be over 80 unique artists displaying their works Saturday and the Arts Council is expanding its booths beyond the Court Square, with 30-plus vendors lined up along West Washington. The day will feature live music, arts demonstrations, a magician, and several food trucks with a wide variety of good food and treats.
Walker said the Paris-Henry County Arts Council is still looking for volunteers to help out with what will be a big event for downtown Paris. For anyone interested, they can email Director Chloe Roth at chloe.phcarts@gmail.com.
Arts ‘Round The Square will be sharing downtown with the Paris/Henry County Bicentennial Finale the same day with presentations, displays and a beard contest early in the morning and a Paris City Cemetery tour starting at 1 p.m.
Walker provided the following schedule and information for Arts ‘Round The Square:
Artists
- We have sold 104 booths for the event, surpassing last year’s count of 76. With our 104 booths, we have over 80 unique artists, not including our Henry County High School artists, for whom the Arts Council has provided two booths for our young artists to showcase their work and make some great sales.
- We will be expanding our booths beyond the Court Square and we’ll have over 30+ vendors lined along W Washington Street.
Live Art
- Local potter, Amanda Mason, will be doing a live demonstration at her booth.
- We’ll have a magician performing and entertaining guests all throughout the day.
- There will be face painting.
- And we’re REALLY excited to have chalk art by Riley French. Riley will be creating original art and kids will be able to come join in and color portions of the collective community chalkart.
