Paris, Tenn.–A Paris man is being held on $500,000 bond in the Henry County Jail after 20 pounds of meth was found at his home.
Sheriff Josh Frey said a joint investigation between the 26 th Judicial Drug Task Force and the 24 th Judicial Drug
Task Force led to the seizure of 20 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of Mareka Shuntz Curtis on Friday, September 22.
Frey said the 26th Judicial Drug Task Force received a complaint from a package carrier that they had
intercepted a package containing illegal narcotics. The agents from the Task Force then took control of
the package and contacted agents with the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force.
Agents then made a controlled delivery to the address listed on the package as 804 Curtis Street in Paris.
Curtis was then taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule II with
intent and possession drug paraphernalia.
A bond of 500,000.00 was set, with a court date Tuesday, September 26.
Frey said both the 26th and 24th Judicial Drug Task Force were assisted by the 24th Judicial District Attorney
General Office, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Paris Police Department.
