Jimmie F. Wade, 88, of the Whitlock Community in Paris, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at his residence.
Jimmie Franklin Wade was born Saturday, May 11, 1935, in Henry County, Tennessee, to the late Benjamin F. Wade and the late Nell Nance Wade.
Mr. Wade was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church.
He worked for many years in the grocery/retail businesses.
Mr. Wade lived in and loved the Whitlock Community.
He married Bettie R. Hurst Wade Monday, December 23, 1957, and she preceded him in death Friday, April 30, 2021. Besides his parents and wife, Jimmie is also preceded by a son: James F. Wade; sisters: Imogene Stephens and Maude Robinson; and brothers: Milton, Robert, Doris, Ruben, and Wallace “Jake” Wade.
He is survived by his daughter: Shirley Wade, of Paris; son: John R. (Sarah) Wade, of Murphysboro, Illinois; grandchildren: Jack Wade, Ben Wade, and Angel Wade; also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
His graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Birds Creek Cemetery. Bro. Glynn Orr of New Hope Baptist Church will be officiating with burial to follow services. No public visitation is scheduled.
