
Carolyn Windsor Stamps, 84, of Paris, Tennessee, died Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Eiffel Gardens in Paris.
Carolyn was born Tuesday, December 6, 1938, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late James “Speedy” Windsor and the late Helen Owens Jackson.
She worked with her sister: Sue Brown, at Hulme’s Sporting Goods in Paris, for many years.
Carolyn loved watching NASCAR, University of Tennessee and Titans football, and her dogs.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Paris.
She was married Sunday, December 13, 1953, to Dolphus “Doc” Stamps, who preceded her in death Sunday, April 1, 2007.
She is survived by two daughters: Sherry (David) Sullivan, of Paris, and Pam (Chuck) Lyons, of Paris; two sisters: Martha Jackson, of Paris, and Sue (Ron) Brown, of Paris; five grandchildren: Jill (Jay) Coker, Justin (Morgan) Chilcutt, Cody (Heather) Chilcutt, Holly (J.D.) Mixon, and Wesley (Preston) Lyons; 10 great grandchildren: Alex Coffield, Katie Coffield, Morgan Coker, Evan Coker, Maebry Chilcutt, Macon Chilcutt, Woody Chilcutt, Grey Mixon, Poppy Mixon, and Neyland Lyons-Fields; two nieces: Kim (Ernie) Veglio and Shawnaree Sanders; and two nephews: Dan (Cheryl) Jackson, and Mike (Suzanne) Jackson.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Kent Jackson; and one nephew: David Brown.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Massey officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Chilcutt, Cody Chilcutt, Jay Coker, Alex Coffield, Evan Coker, J.D. Mixon, Dan Jackson, and Mike Jackson.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
