Paris, Tenn.–A Creek Clean Up event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, September 16th at the creek behind the Parisian Theatre and volunteers are sought. The event is sponsored by Henry County Medical Center, City of Paris Stormwater Department, and Preserve Paris.
Everyone is asked to meet in the back parking lot of the Parisian Theatre. Rain date is the next Saturday, Sept. 23, same time.
The City of Paris will take care of providing gloves, garbage bags, grabbers, dumpsters. City officials recommend volunteers wear waterproof boots and/or tennis shoes, pants, bug spray, and gloves (if you prefer a certain type). This will be a mucky area that will possibly have overgrown weeds, briars, etc.
