Paris, Tenn.–Tennessee State Parks volunteers were busy Saturday morning setting up local break stops for the first day of the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee. Registration and headquarters for the BRAT was at The Lodge at Paris Landing, with break stops set up at there, Eiffel Tower Park (in photo above) and the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge. Volunteers said 304 bicyclists came through the stop at the refuge yesterday. BRAT officials said the cyclists “had a great day exploring Paris”. Back at the Lodge in the evening, they enjoyed yoga, free beer, live music and learning about the Birds of Prey from Paris Landing Ranger Gina Lowry. Many cyclists are staying in pup tents at the state park. The BRAT continues from September 9-14. Photo by Shannon McFarlin.
