Shirley Frances Wyatt Elliott, 89, of Dover, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Dover Care Center.
She was born Sunday, February 4, 1934, daughter of the late Haywood Wyatt and Henrietta Crain Wyatt.
Shirley was a faithful member of New Haven Methodist Church and a graduate of Stewart County High School.
She loved her God, family, and community.
She will be remembered for some of the priceless values she treasured and enjoyed that she passed down to her family; such as the importance of church attendance, cross stitching, cooking/baking, and the knowledge and love of tending to her flowers and hummingbirds.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband: Mitchell Dean Elliott; son: Kenny Elliott; and daughter: Robin F. Elliott.
Shirley is survived by her beloved children: Sherry Elliott, Barry Elliott (April), Darrin Elliott (Tammy); 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister: Norma Jean Dennis (Bob).
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at Anglin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2023 at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Heflin Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
