Paris, Tenn.–The annual Henry County Relay for Life event will be held Saturday, September 16 in downtown Paris and a number of activities are planned to make the day special.
Lisa Dolliver said the Relay event is set for 4-9 p.m. on the court square, with the Survivor Dinner at 5:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
“So far we have several things planned,” she said. “A huge Kids Zone with Llama Llama Petting Zoo, a Paris Fire Department truck and Henry County Sheriff car for the kids to look at, two huge obstacle course bouncies, face painting and games.”
For food, as always, there will be a good variety of homemade goodies, including the PML’s famous Japanese noodles, fajita bowls by Paris BPU, fried oreos, fried bologna sandwiches, burgers, and more. Nana’s Sweet Treats food truck also will be set up.
And no one has to miss the Tennessee Vols versus Florida game–it will be playing on a 14 foot big screen.
Local musicians Andrea and Ervin Dutton, and Bo Caldwell and The Misfits will be performing.
The Survivor Lap will be held between 6:30-7 p.m. Luminaries can be purchased now from any committee member or you can purchase them that night.
Volunteers are always needed and Dolliver said to contact her at 731-333-1906 or other committee members. “We could always use an extra hand”, she said.
