Felony Drug Arrests In Henry Co. Over Labor Day Weekend

Paris, Tenn.–Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office made two felony drug arrests over the Labor Day weekend.
The first was on Sunday, September 3, when Cpl. Kyle Waldron made a traffic stop on Mineral Wells Avenue in Paris for a window tint violation. During the stop his K-9 Lisa made an alert on the vehicle. The vehicle was searched, due to the K-9 alert.
Cpl. Waldron located inside the vehicle 30.5 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, prescription pills and a loaded handgun. The sole occupant of the vehicle Melissa Draper was arrested and charged with possession of schedule II with intent, simple possession of schedule II, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony.
The second incident was on Monday, September 4, when Cpl. Dalton Watson made a traffic stop on East Wood Street in Paris for improper display. During the stop Cpl. Watson was granted consent to search by the occupants of the vehicle. Cpl. Watson located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Joshua Haynes, was charged with driving on suspended license, possession of schedule II with intent and possession of drug paraphernalia.
