Viola Vaughn Hainley

Viola Vaughn Hainley, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at her home in Florence, Alabama.

Viola was born Tuesday, October 30, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Ruby Vaughn.

Viola was born in Henry County, Tennessee, and lived in the Springville community for 36 years until moving to Florence in 1994.

She was a retiree of Clifty Farm County Hams in Paris, Tennessee.

Viola was a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ in Florence, Alabama, and had many church friends whom she loved dearly.

Viola will be remembered for her devotion to family, church, and her reputation as a great cook of southern foods!

She married Jack D. Hainley in 1949 and was his devoted wife until his death in 1989.

She is survived by her daughters: Brenda H. (David) Webb, of Florence, Alabama, Linda C. (Ronnie) Owen, of Hardin, Kentucky, and G. Gail (Steve) Fletcher, of Gilt Edge, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one great-great grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are John Webb, Evan Owen, Kyle Hopkins, Brandon Fletcher, Richard Crouch, and Terry Crouch.

Named as honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Owen, Steve Fletcher, and Warren King.

Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
