Murray, Ky.–Murray State University President Dr. Bob Jackson shared the very sad news that one of the Marines killed in the aircraft accident near the Australian coast over the weekend is a Murray State alumna.
Marine Captain Eleanor V. LeBeau, originally from Belleville, Illinois, was a 2016 graduate of Murray State with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science. She joined the Marine Corps after earning her degree.
Dr. Jackson said, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the terrible news of the loss of our alumna and U.S. Marine, Captain Eleanor V. LeBeau. Capt. LeBeau served her country with distinction and brought great pride to Murray State University. She was an active member of our campus community and will be greatly missed by her many friends and family members.”
