Gleason, Tenn.–Gleason School officials have issued a special thanks to Dustin and Betsi Foster for donating the ‘Friends’ bench to the playground. The concept is if anyone is sad or doesn’t have someone to play with on the playground, they can sit on the bench and that’s a signal for others to come over and invite that student to play in their group. This is a great character-building tool and helps show students the importance of kindness and care for others. The letters on the bench were hand-painted by Persie Foster, who is a 3rd grader at Gleason School. Mrs. Betsi is the Ast. Director of Schools for Weakley Co.
