Henry, Tenn.–With extreme hot temperatures and humidity forecast, the new Henry Civic Center will be open as a cooling center all week. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
Mayor Dustin Odom said it won’t be manned all the time, “but people will be coming and going to check on things there.” It is equipped with tables and chairs “and people who need to get cool can just hang out there” when they need to, he said.
The Civic Center is handicapped-accessible.
