Paris, Tenn.– Henry County Fair officials were still calculating early this morning, but early indications are that revenue from this year’s Junior Livestock Sale “is almost on par with, if not over, last year’s total”, which was a record-breaker.
The preliminary unofficial total for this year is some $450,000 raised by the dozens of youngsters who showed Steer, Hogs, Lambs and Goats in the annual sale.
A total 117 livestock were auctioned off and the cooler weather drew a large crowd inside the Livestock Barn Thursday night.
The sale was opened with Finley Homesley singing the National Anthem, with the four Grand Champion exhibitors presenting the colors.
