Murray, Ky.–One person is in custody and another has been shot in an early-morning incident today in Murray.
At 5:22 AM this morning, the Murray Police Department responded to the area of Sycamore Street near Lynnwood Court in reference to a call of shots fired.
Officers located a juvenile with an apparent gunshot wound, and the juvenile was transported to the Murray-Calloway Hospital emergency room for treatment. One person of interest is currently in custody. The investigation is still ongoing.
The Murray Police Department was assisted on scene by the Murray State University Police Department, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Murray Calloway County Ambulance Service.
