Bethel Football Player Honored By ROTC

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Congratulations are in order to Bethel University football player Jonathan Braswell on being the recipient of the Reserve Organization of America Award at the ROTC (1st Regiment Basic Camp, CST23) graduation Thursday morning. 

Cadet Braswell is a senior running back for the Wildcats. The Olive Branch, Mississippi native is an Exercise Science major. 

 Lt. Colonel Bernard House said, “The award is presented to the Cadet who demonstrates the best reflection of the characteristics of Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness by demonstrating resilience and the potential for enhanced performance to cope with adversity, better performance in stressful situations, and thrive in life.” 

Braswell commented, “Basic camp for me was a roller coaster of emotions but overall, I enjoyed myself and meeting people from all over the country.” 

Bethel Head Football Coach Michael Jasper said, “We are so proud of John and not surprised at all on him receiving this award. He is a fine young man who represents our school and program is fine fashion.”
