
Paris, Tenn.–The 3rd annual Teen Academy will be held July 24th, 25th, and 26th at the Henry County UT Extension Office for ages 12-17.
The cost is $25.00, with Neese Law Firm being a big sponsor for the program. It will be held Monday and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Extension Agent Michele Atkins said, “Some of the skills that will be taught are opening bank accounts, check writing, how to tie a tye, dressing for success, writing thank you letters, changing a tire, checking oil and other vehicle maintenance, sewing on a button, how to do laundry, setting a table, cooking skills, communication, basic first aid, steps on getting your driver permit and license, employability skills and filling out a job application and more!”
Lunch and snacks are provided all three days.
